Substantial in scale, this vintage clay water vessel has a broad, rounded form, a dark timeworn surface and a narrow band of hand-incised geometric detail around the shoulder.

The clay carries irregular markings, tonal variation and areas of wear from age and previous use, giving the surface a rich patina and plenty of individual character. A simple aged iron stand gently lifts the curved base from the floor, providing a stable support while allowing the shape of the vessel to be fully appreciated.

With its rich dark earthy tones and generous proportions, it works well as a decorative floor-standing piece in a hallway, sitting room or larger open space.

Please note that the vessel is not waterproof. For use with plants or fresh stems, we recommend placing a suitable glass or plastic insert inside.
