The Urchin Leather Chandelier is a substantial sculptural light, handmade in Johannesburg from lengths of tanned leather, individually draped to create its soft, cascading form. The layered construction gives the piece movement and texture while retaining a surprising lightness for its generous scale.

When illuminated, the leather filters the light into a warm ambient glow, with subtle faceted glass-bead detailing adding another layer of interest. It works particularly well in a double-height entrance, stairwell, vaulted room or generous dining space, where the full shape and drop can be properly appreciated. The cream-stone finish sits easily alongside plaster, timber and other natural materials without losing its presence.

Made by High Thorn in South Africa, each chandelier is assembled by hand. Natural variations in the leather and the way it falls are an inherent part of the piece rather than something to be corrected.

Excellent used condition with minor marks and some natural ageing. Ready to install.
