The Urchin Leather Chandelier is a substantial sculptural light, handmade in Johannesburg by High Thorn from lengths of cream-toned leather. Subtly resembling a jellyfish, the Urchin Chandelier is handcrafted with varying lengths of stripped leather, creating delicate layers of movement and texture. When illuminated, the chandelier filters a warm ambient glow through the layered leather, with subtle faceted glass-bead detailing adding another layer of interest.
This piece works particularly well in a double-height entrance, stairwell, vaulted ceiling or generous dining space, where the full shape and drop can be properly appreciated.
Each chandelier is assembled by hand, with natural variations in the leather.
Excellent used condition with light signs of age and wear.
