Traditionally used in India for mixing and kneading dough, these hand-carved old wooden Parat bowls have years of wear worked into them — softened edges, changes in colour, irregular grain, marks and small cracks.
This is exactly what I love about them.
They’re so easy to use on a kitchen counter, table or coffee table for fruit, candles, ceramics, folded linen or collected objects. And sometimes I think they look best with almost nothing in them at all.
Please note: This is an original vintage piece. Variations in shape, grain, tone, surface markings, small cracks and signs of previous use are inherent to its character. Each bowl is one of a kind. For decorative use only. Not tested or certified for direct contact with food. Wipe gently with a dry or lightly damp cloth and avoid prolonged exposure to water or heat.
