An original carved coffee table from India, made using an old timber panel with years of wear worked into the surface. The scale of this piece and the contrast between its very simple, solid shape and all of the detail in the carving makes it a really easy piece to work with. The wood has a deep, aged finish with marks, irregularities and changes in tone that make it feel completely individual. At 145 cm wide, it’s a substantial one-off piece, generous enough to really anchor a seating area.
